Gotham TV Series: 10 Reasons It Can Tie-In To The DC Universe

10. Competition

Mcu Batman Habbs €“ Leafs, Larry Bird - Magic Johnson, DC - Marvel. It's a game where one side is always trying to one up the other. Though the characters and their universes that they exist have become incomparable, the rivalry exists in its fandom. Since the end of the first Iron Man movie in 2008, Marvel has been crafting a world where their characters exist on film (and now TV) together. DC fans have been whinging on about how they want the same treatment for their characters. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that that is something I would be opposed to. I will tell you that there are other ways of going about it. You don't want to emulate an existing formula. You want to create something new and refreshing. A shared TV universe would be just that, while on film there are team-up's about to happen as well. The smartest thing about this is to exist on multiple channels if possible. Having Arrow & Flash on CW, Constantine on NBC, and Gotham on FOX is just good for business. That means that on four of seven nights of the week, a series based on a DC property will be on television and on a different network, with a different lead-in. Top that, S.H.I.E.L.D.

I'm a fan of pop-culture in all mediums: Music, Film, Gaming, Comics, TV, Whatever. I can generally find something enjoyable in even the worst trash. I guess as a B-Horror enthusiast, I kind of have to. Currently I'm an author working on a manuscript for a crime novel, and attending school to be an Environmental Health and Safety Technician. In the past I've made a go at running in an election for MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) for my hometown of Glace Bay. I was 23 at the time, and though I lost (by like a lot), I learned a lot more about politics in a month than I ever learned. Get at me on Twitter @DanWilsonWC
