Has Game Of Thrones Just Confirmed The Book Readers’ Biggest Theory?

1. So What Does It All Mean?

If Jon Snow is indeed the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, then it would obviously have major implications for the series. It would mean Jon is Rhaegar€™s sole surviving male heir, giving him a stronger claim to the Iron Throne than Daenerys, and arguably a stronger claim than Stannis and the current incumbent, Tommen. There are two developments in A Dance With Dragons which may drastically alter this, but how they play out in the books - and whether they make it into the TV show at all - remains to be seen. Weiss and Benioff have said that Martin's informed them of how it all ends, and while they've made an increasing number of changes, it's expected the end game will stay the same. How do you think Jon's story will play out in the series? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread below.
