After going for so long without any MCU content being released, with only the gap between The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2 being longer than that between Spider-Man: Far From Home and Black Widow, fans can finally start getting excited about the franchise's upcoming projects.

The Phase Four slate is absolutely stacked, and is set to be full of surprises, but what's arguably even more unknown and exciting is the MCU's expansion onto Disney+, with several series set to debut over 2021, 2022, and beyond.

WandaVision will be the first to release in January of next year, but thanks to recent set photos and casting news, the spotlight has moved onto Hawkeye for the moment. This series will follow the only original Avenger in a series heavily inspired by Matt Fraction and David Aja's award-winning 2012 comic, and will bring some new faces into the MCU too.

In addition to one of the longest running MCU super heroes, Hawkeye will also see a couple of returning characters, and a whole lot of new ones. With a wonderful cast all bringing to life some truly exciting characters, there is a lot to look forward to with Hawkeye... but who's playing who?

9. Alaqua Cox - Maya Lopez

From the very beginning, the MCU has balanced its cast between huge stars like Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, and Sir Anthony Hopkins, with relative unknowns who went on to be stars, like Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, and Tom Holland.

This will continue with Hawkeye, as youngster Alaqua Cox will make her acting debut alongside some big names, portraying Maya Lopez, a character better known in the comics as Echo.

Introduced by Marvel in 1999, Echo has abilities similar to that of Taskmaster, in that she is able to essentially copy any action that she sees. After a sketchy past, working closely with Kingpin against Daredevil, Echo went soul searching, and found herself instead aligned with the many other Marvel heroes rather than with Wilson Fisk.

The Native American has had numerous dealings with Hawkeye, Daredevil, Wolverine, and even the Avengers under the guise of Ronin, and after Eternals' Makkari, will be only the second deaf hero introduced into the MCU.
