Hawkeye: Every Confirmed Cast Member (And Who They Are Playing)

While Echo may well be working as a hero throughout Hawkeye, one of the series' antagonists has been confirmed, as Better Call Saul alum Tony Dalton will also join the MCU, bringing to life Jacques Duquesne.

Much like Echo, the character who would eventually come to be known as The Swordsman also suffered through the death of his father at a young age, and while he originally fought as a freedom fighter to protect the nation of Sin-Cong from French rule, he soon turned to villainy.

He previously tried to join the Avengers, but was shot down by Clint Barton, his former student, thanks to his sketchy past, the fact that he threatened to kill Captain America, and mainly because he simply wanted to join the team to aid his criminal activities.

The fact that The Swordsman acted as Clint's mentor far before he ever took up the Hawkeye mantle could explain the hero's weapon of choice while on his murderous rampage after Thanos' snap. He may have even sought Jacques out before taking his anger out on the world.
