HBO's MaddAddam: 5 Reasons It Could Be Awesome (And 5 Reasons It Could Suck)

4. Margaret Atwood Is (Reportedly) Consulting Producer

Having Margaret Atwood€™s direction in any way on this project is bound to improve it tenfold. Many people reject adaptations of literature because they tend to stray too far from the original vision and twist what fans first loved about them beyond recognition. Adaptations often then become quite personal interpretations for those working on them, and a lot of people won€™t share the same vision of a book series they€™ve loved over the course of 10 years. However, it is again Game of Thrones that has set the precedent. Whilst it hasn€™t followed the books exactly (how could it though, really?), many fans of the books are still fans of the show. This is probably largely to do with George R. R. Martin€™s influence as a consultant and producer on the show. With Atwood on the consulting team for MaddAddam, we can be sure that her guiding influence will make this adaptation the incredible work of visual art that it deserves to be.

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
