HBO's Watchmen TV Show: 8 Reasons To Be Excited

Finally, the most appealing component of this new Watchmen series is how it offers everyone a chance to step back into the incredibly deep world painstakingly crafted by Moore and company back in 1986. A violent, soul-crushing society that focuses on power imbalance and the hidden truths buried beneath mountains of lies. The world that gave birth to fighters of injustice and the insidious characters that oppose them. It's a reality where a murderer gets taken down, only for two more to take their place.

This is the backdrop and foundation of the Watchmen show. The key aspect that Lindelof will be able to take advantage of when developing the series. New stories within the Watchmen universe are ripe with possibilities. After all, what would this alternative world look like in present-day society?

Moore made a world that served as a warning of what society could become. A response to the ugliness of 1980's society (which was a message he took across the pond in V for Vendetta). It's unknown what Lindelof's interpretation will eventually look like, but having Alan Moore's work as your foundation? Can't be a bad start.
