Homeland Season 2: 5 Reasons To Be Excited

4. A Mole Inside The CIA

Throughout Season 1 there was a constant suspicion that someone inside CIA was not acting as they should. The ease with which Tom Walker lured the CIA into his trap with the bomb in the square; the suicide of one of Nazir's men in CIA custody; someone tipping Aileen to put out the US flag warning her husband; Brody somehow passing the polygraph test; someone is playing for the other team here. The beauty is it could be anyone. David Estes, an unknown agent, or even dependable old Saul. We might never even find out. The mole is a hidden entity, an unknown threat, one that we do not even know exists. But the suspicion that there is another party pulling the strings somewhere leaves the viewer constantly on edge.
