1. The Ending Sets Up Season 6 Superbly

And finally, the ending does a great job of setting up season six. You'll probably see the final scene coming a mile off, but that doesn't really make it any less gratifying, and though it's starting to feel like the show should start winding down soon enough, the hook for the next season is nothing short of tantalising all the same.

The shows ends by dealing out some game-changing dynamic shifts, and though it remains to be seen how the follow-through will go, there's an insane amount of potential here for season six to be one of the show's best. If nothing else, it's one of House of Cards' best season finale cliffhangers to date, and feels wholly justified dramatically.
