2. The Body Count Verges On Ridiculous

It was a genuinely shocking moment when Frank killed Peter Russo back in House of Cards' first season, a moment that many weren't quite on-board with initially. A pile of corpses and four seasons later, though, few should have problems digesting that heinous act.

Season five's body count is extremely high compared to prior ones, especially in the season's second half, and though these various set-ups are typically entertaining to watch, the ever-presence of death ends up feeling a little comical and trashy by the end, somewhat divorced from the classiness people generally associate with the show.

When Frank or someone close to him now has someone killed, it's ceased to be shocking, and so it's safe to say that lowering the body count for season six might be a smart idea in order to make death actually matter again.
