House Of Cards Season 6 Review: 2 Ups & 6 Downs

4. It's Shockingly Boring

Perhaps the saddest thing of all is that season six is both absurdly silly and intensely boring for the most part.

The political machinations feel wildly played-out after six years, and even with Claire taking the wheel this time, the repetition of her faux-concern and icy scheming becomes dull incredibly fast.

The aforementioned soap opera fare is meanwhile totally snoozy, lacking even the basic frothy entertainment value and feeling just as cardboard as the stodgy drama.

Even though there are "only" eight episodes to get through this time, it's sure to leave you feeling exhausted and irritable by the end, running rather counter to its stature as one of Netflix's very first "binge-worthy" shows.
