House Of The Dragon - Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

16. Jason And Tyland Lannister

Jefferson Hall's brief screen time on House of the Dragon as the Lannister twins Jason and Tyland has been an absolute delight. Of particular note is the actor's inspired choice to give Jason an accent that somehow manages to sound like Peter Dinklage's take on his descendant in Game of Thrones.

Hall has a tricky task in portraying the two twins - who despite their identical appearances are polar opposites of one another in terms of personality - but the Vikings actor pulls it off with distinction. His take on Jason is an arrogant, silver tongued lord in the vein of past iconic Lannisters from the original show, while his brother Tyland could not be more different; a timid, stammering man who actually appears to have the realm's interests at heart?

Obviously as such, it is his more nefarious brother who has featured more heavily to date although Tyland's role will expand significantly as the Dance of the Dragons begins in earnest. In the meantime however, Hall's Jason has had some notably chuckle worthy scenes, including his disastrous attempt to verbally finesse Viserys and his hilariously awkward expression before carrying on matter-of-factedly in the wake of Lord Beesbury's graphic murder.

A minor, seemingly rather harmless villain, but one whose subtle comic relief has enriched the quality of a show already groaning with it.
