How Amazon Should Make A Lord Of The Rings TV Show

6. Utilise Different Characters

Like with the areas of Middle-earth we've seen, there are also a number of characters we've become familiar with. Great they may be, but do we really need another story around Bilbo or Frodo Baggins, or one where Legolas pops up to remind us how awesome he is? Probably not.

While some established characters have interesting backgrounds - such as Aragorn's time serving in various battles under the name Thorongil - the show would do well to put the focus on characters who haven't been so fleshed out on screen, whether that's entirely new creations (and a chance for greater diversity) or many of the inhabitants mentioned in the thousands of pages of Tolkien's work.
