Time flies when you’re watching great TV, and it’s testament to the golden age of sitcom television we’re living in right now that it feels like only yesterday that How I Met Your Mother was gracing our screens.
In reality, it’s somehow been nearly seven years since How I Met Your Mother aired its final episode in March 2014. After a total of 208 episodes across nine seasons, it was a fitting close for How I Met Your Mother – even if that final season maybe did feel just a tad dragged out.
This Carter Bay and Craig Thomas-created series managed to cement itself as one of the all-time great TV sitcoms, and central to that success was the fantastic array of characters who anchored so much of the show.
When it comes to those characters, one of the most entertaining of the bunch was easily Neil Patrick Harris’ womanising Barney Stinson. His morals may have often been a little questionable, yet Barney forever remained a phenomenal presence who made for some of How I Met Your Mother’s greatest moments and memories.
