2. Gillian McKeith
Before I'm a Celebrity... she was famous for analysing people's poo on her Channel 4 show You Are What You Eat. After starring in the show in 2010, the controversial contestant was best remembered for her fear of, well, absolutely everything! After being told she had been voted to participate in her seventh consecutive Bushtucker trial, Gillian was desperate to get out of doing it, including an embarrassing experiment with fake fainting. But she received little sympathy from the viewers and there was backlash against her, claiming she was a 'fake' after footage which appeared to show her adjusting her top while supposedly unconscious. There were many who questioned her suitability for the show, and Gillian admitted she had never actually watched the show from start to finish, as well as having a phobia of spiders and insects. Even her approach was a far cry from the can-do attitude she used to promote on her programs. However, viewers turned on to see her and it seems she made good television previously, viewing figures were dwindling, but guided by The Glaswegian Dietician's dramatics, the show its best-ever rating figures in its first week since the third series in early 2004. Like many, she hoped that she could use the show's high profile to re-launch her television career, which floundered shortly after the controversy surrounding calling herself Dr McKeith. But this plan backfired and she proved unpopular with audiences from day one. It seems that her appearance on I'm a Celeb was the final nail in the coffin for her career and she has rarely been seen on TV since.
