A one man car wreck, Bill Ponderosa is one of the most self destructive characters on TV.

As usual, coming into contact with the gang has a detrimental effect on his life and after his first appearance in season six, Bill becomes a frequent character on the show. With every appearance, his life has tumbled even further than when he originally had an affair with Dee.

After his divorce for trying to kidnap his own kids, Bill is treated for sex addiction, revealing he is a true sleazeball who misinforms women about a vasectomy because he doesn't like wearing a condom. Constantly taking drugs or binge drinking, it is clear that Bill's choices and estrangement from his kids have taken him down a dark road.

In fact, in the season ten episode, Mac Kills His Dad, Bill turns up at Paddy's Pub with the clear intention to drink himself to death. When an intervention with his family proves how much they despise him, the gang then try to set up a life insurance policy on Bill and push him to see it through.

A genuinely tragic yet hilarious character, there is still plenty of mileage left in Bill Ponderosa's story and hopefully he will return in season fifteen.
