It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - 10 Funniest Dennis Reynolds Moments
3. Untethered Rage
From a subtle understanding of Dennis's broken mental landscape, to the most obvious example ever.
We've spoken many times and gone through plenty of exhibits of Dennis Reynolds' rage. It is the under current of his character and knowing it exists, bubbling underneath his calm exterior, makes every scene where he is antagonised fairly tense.
This was never more apparent than in The Gang Misses The Boat from season ten. After his car plunges into a river, the gang decide to go their separate ways, with Dennis keen to sell his submerged car to try to live a calmer life.
As you can imagine, it doesn't go so well, with many prospective buyers put off by the fact that the car is most likely damaged by its current predicament. That is until a nice, down-to-earth guy arrives, still happy to buy it and seemingly charming Dennis. That is until, he reveals his motive.
He sees Dennis' car as a perfect starter car for his daughter.
This triggers the greatest meltdown in It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia history, as Dennis explodes at the man with a tremendous, rage-filled rant that scares the man away, leaving Dennis screaming to himself that he is the 'Golden God!' and that his untethered rage knows no bounds.
It's truly terrifying!
