It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Most Disturbing Episodes
1. Sweet Dee Gets Audited (Season 7, Episode 4)
Dee scams $30,000 from the IRS by falsely claiming the baby
she surrogated as a dependent. However, it soon arouses the curiosity of an
auditor. Dee seeks the Gang’s help.
When Charlie and Mac fail to find her a loan baby, Dennis, as the self-proclaimed “only rational and emotionless person”, decides instead of convincing the IRS that Dee’s baby is alive, they need to convince them her baby is dead.
In a scheme which Dennis dubs the “darkest thing we’ve ever done”, the Gang fake a baby funeral for Barnabas Reynolds. The grim sight of a tiny white coffin is quickly added to by Dee’s bleeding eyes, due to Dennis using chilli powder to draw out convincing tears. The funeral is also used as an opportunity to plug Wolf Cola as “the right cola for closure” and its ability to wash away sorrow.
The macabre peak sees Mac “in the Christian tradition” opening
the casket to “take one last look at his tiny corpse”. A bloodied alley way dog
falls from the casket - Frank’s attempt to aid the scam and give the dog a
proper burial.
