It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Times Dennis Reynolds Embraced His Inner Sociopath
4. Frame Banging
The Lawyer has proven to be a recurring character that is extremely popular among fans of the show. His interactions with the gang often yield hilarious results for the audience, but tend to leave him cursing the day he ever met this so-called "sordid lot of degenerates."
Paddys Pub: Home of the Original Kitten Mittens, is an episode which actually flips this trope on its head, and The Lawyer manages to get one over on the gang. While attempting to capitalise on merchandising the bar, the gang constantly hound The Lawyer for legal aid and patents for their ridiculous ideas. He manages to navigate the gang's requests with grace while going through a messy divorce that has left him feeling a bit vulnerable.
Dennis, the kind soul that he is, sees The Lawyer in his time of need and decides to do what any good samaritan would do and lend a helping hand. How does he do this? By offering to break in to his ex-wife's home and "toss a frame bang her way." Yes, it's exactly what you think it is.
The Lawyer refuses Dennis's offer, and manages to trick the gang in to unknowingly handing over the rights to kitten mittens, which had only recently sold for an undisclosed sum of money. In a later season though, he ends up losing an eye thanks to Charlie so he may have won the battle, but it looks like the war is still ongoing.
