FXX released a short summary of the season's story. While it doesn't detail the whole season, it mentions a few events that will likely be individual episodes.

One plot mentioned involves Charlie and his upcoming baby with the Waitress, following a story set up in Season 12 finale 'Dennis' Double Life'. Another follows Mac's revelation in 'Hero or Hate Crime' that he is gay, and must come to terms with this and his faith.

Dee is 'taking feminism to new heights' which perhaps suggests the series, which has never shied away from facing political events, is to address the entertainment industry's recent gender issues. Meanwhile Frank is to get the gang to see the Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl, which of course happened in 2018. However things are never easy for the gang and, as with other sporting episodes such as 'The World Series Defense', hilarity will inevitably ensue.

The summary makes it clear that Dennis is going to have limited involvement in the series, but it also doesn't make reference to Kaling's character, so it is far from a complete synopsis.

Only four plot strands are mentioned and, knowing the show's hilarity comes from episodes having disparate plots at the same time, it could be that all these events happen in the same episode.

I'm based in the UK, looking to make a career out of writing about entertainment and culture. The only thing I like as much as watching films, playing games or listening to music is enjoying as much hummus and crisps as I can while I do so. My favourite film is Eddie the Eagle and I like any game that lets me wander around beautiful worlds (or eat hummus and crisps).
