Jessica Jones Season 2: 10 Things That Must Happen
8. Jessica And Luke Rekindled
As Marvel comics fans will know, Jessica and Luke Cage have a brilliant ongoing love story on the page. The pair have gone from friends who shared a one-night stand to a married couple to parents of a super-powered kid (who - spoilers - will grow up to become the future Captain America). It's a shame, then, that the MCU looks to be ignoring this romance. At least, as things currently stand.
Obviously, it's only healthy for superhero TV series to grow in their own direction and not just slavishly follow the comics, but Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter had terrific chemistry in Season 1. Though Rosario Dawson's character is beloved, it was a bit annoying when Luke got together with Claire Temple in his own show - and then decided to stay with her in The Defenders.
Still, the mini-series did feature a reconciliation between Jones and Cage, so hopefully this is followed up with an appearance from Luke in JJ Season 2. It will take them a while to become the firm couple from the comics but they should start to head down that path soon.
