Jessica Jones Season 3 Review: 4 Ups & 6 Downs

Ups...

4. Krysten Ritter's Reliably Gutsy Performance

Jessica Jones Season 3
Netflix

Unsurprisingly, this season's strongest suit is once again the presence of Krysten Ritter in the lead role.

As tired as the story may seem, Ritter still brings her signature snarky, sassy energy to the table, and it's (almost) always a pleasure to watch her being a sassy badass.

She plays the role so enthusiastically and with such little indication of her own fatigue that she even manages to prop up moments that might otherwise fall apart completely.

It's tough to ignore the feeling that her fine-tuned performance deserves much better material, but at least she stays as committed to the part as ever, and isn't merely phoning it one last time for a paycheck.
