Jessica finally managed to murder Kilgrave in the end, and it was extremely satisfying when it happened. From the pretending to be under his influence, that creepy smile and the 'I love you', to then breaking his neck, it was a wonderfully executed scene. However, in terms of the story, by this stage the villain had caused a lot of damage. He'd controlled people, forced them to murder others or themselves, and it was sweet justice when he was finally stopped. Only, he could've been ended much sooner. Jessica can't be controlled by him, and indeed spends a lot of time in close proximity to him. Given the super strength, Kilgrave is no match for her, and she could kill him easily if he wanted to. Only she doesn't, because of her desire to set Hope free. It's very noble of her, but does it really justify how much harm Kilgrave is getting away with? Would you really watch it happen, when deep down you know the only way to stop him is by killing him? Jessica's reasons are understandable to a point, but given how much would be solved by killing him, why didn't she just kill him earlier? What did you make of Jessica Jones? NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
