Marvel's Jessica Jones: 13 Big Questions After Binge-Watching Season 1
10. What Next For Luke Cage?
Almost as perfect as the casting of Krysten Ritter for Jessica Jones is that of Mike Colter as Luke Cage, her ally/lover/fellow 'gifted' person. He certainly looks the part, with muscles in places I didn't even know you could get muscles, and he's smoother than the jar of peanut butter in Jessica's kitchen (seriously, who doesn't have crunchy?). He pulls off the action scenes with aplomb, and equally he conveys a real sense of being a dark, damaged individual. The series ends with him sneaking out of Jessica's apartment, having received treatment from Daredevil's Claire Temple, and it's unclear where he's headed next, or what sort of life he'll lead. Is he getting out of Hell's Kitchen (maybe he can't stand the heat)? Will he open another meticulously well-cleaned bar? We know there's going to be a Luke Cage series, but what Cage are we going to see in it?
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
