8. Karl and Warwick Davis' Bollywood Dance-Off
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXicqGwBcFI There are few things across all 3 series of An Idiot Abroad that brink Karl much pleasure but one thing he does love is a good dance - and to be honest he wouldn't be all that bad if this was the early 1990's and his name had been Bez. During series 3 Karl was joined by dwarf for hire Warwick Davis (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Leprechaun) who thrived in almost every challenge Gervais put before them. Nothing could get old Warwick down so when he and Karl were given the chance to appear in a Bollywood movie Warwick jumped at the chance. Karl was less convinced. Things changed though when Karl discovered he would be required to dance for his part in the movie and despite initial scepticism he soon found his inner Michael Flatley and was giving it his all, cracking out his very best moves and sequences from the musical Oliver. You'll have seen Karl dance loads throughout your time watching the show in its entirety but this has to be his finest musical hour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cW_bxHk_gs Not all of Karl's musical moments turned out quite as well as his time in Bollywood. During series 2 Pilkington was forced to perform as part of the cast in a high school Glee ensemble and was hilariously out of his comfort zone. Marvel as Karl tries and fails (epically) to perform the most basic of choreographies. It's like attending a school play and watching the uncoordinated little kid who's been given a role out of sympathy by the teachers trying to perform a simple little dance routine. Nobody wants to be that kids parent and you feel the same way watching Karl. In fact he does everyone a favour when he sneaks off the stage part the way through the performance, gets back in his car and drives away.
