24. The Kitchen Explosion
The aforementioned kitchen explosion would make a resurgence later in Chapter 1, where we see that there was much more to this clip than originally thought.
Not only does it show just how both powerful and unstable David is, the incident happening after he storms into the kitchen after a heated argument with his now ex-girlfriend, but also gave us something a bit... different.
As David looks around the room and realizes what is happening, we see the very first appearance of the creature that David describes as "the devil with the yellow eyes", who is truly a grotesque sight.
He simply sits there with a sadistic smile on his exceptionally creepy, bulbous face as he watches David suffer. And the extreme close-up we get of him sure didn't help make the scene any less unnerving.
