Loki Season 1 Finale: 10 Biggest Questions We Still Have

Coming into the finale of Loki, it was impossible to know what would ultimately happen to the titular character. No matter what he did, as a Variant taken by the TVA, he didn’t have a place on the timeline to go back to.

The final episode of the season saw him sent back to the TVA by Sylvie, only when he found Mobius and Hunter B-15, neither one recognized him. He had been sent back to another timeline in what was a huge cliffhanger for the series, but thankfully, fans were soon reassured that there would in fact be a season 2.

Right now, the MCU’s release schedule is packed, with What If…? releasing in just four weeks, as well as the likes of Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and more to follow on Disney+.

Additionally, there are still three movies to release before 2021 is over, and a further four through 2022, and more beyond. When exactly will Marvel Studios be able to fit a second season in?

There is also the question of when it will be set. While it is based at the TVA, the series will operate outside the normal rules of time, but if Loki is fighting the same threat to the universe as Doctor Strange and Ant-Man & the Wasp, it will feel more like a piece of a larger puzzle than season one.

Loki S2 will need to interlock with the other stories around it, meaning its placement in the wider scale of things is incredibly important.
