11. That Iron Fist Cameo Troll (Episode 8, "If It Ain't Rough, It Ain't Right")

Episode eight ends with a crowd-pleasing cliffhanger ending, as Luke, Misty, Luke's father James (Reg E. Cathey), Mariah Dillard and her daughter Tilda (Gabrielle Dennis) search for a place to lay low.

Luke tells Misty to call up Danny Rand (Finn Jones), suggesting the next episode will see the team getting some help from Iron Fist...but that actually doesn't happen at all. Rather, they hole up at a Rand Enterprises facility through the next episode and receive no physical assistance from Danny himself.

Now, Danny does eventually show up in the tenth episode for a self-contained adventure with Luke - and honestly, it's one of the better subplots this season - but it was pretty mean to tease Iron Fist showing up in a meaningful way only to pull the rug out moments into the ninth episode.

At least we could all binge the next two episodes immediately and not have to wait weeks to see the small Rand arc play out.
