Luke Cage Season 2 Trailer Reactions: 6 Ups & 2 Downs

1. Bigger, Better, Blacker

Luke Cage Season 1 was celebrated for a number of reasons, but among them was how the show was very much about a black superhero, and also a look at the lives of black people in America.

That side of things, understandably, didn't feature too much into the character's Defenders appearance, but back on his solo show it's right at the forefront again.

It's also clear that the show, after its successful first season, has had a bit of a budget increase. The action and set-pieces look a lot bigger and more impressive this time around, without becoming too polished in a way that wouldn't feel real to the character. Luke Cage Season 1 tailed off, but this does a great job of building hype again for Season 2.
