More evidence for the notion anyone close to Don Draper should watch out. Sally is initially closer to her father than her controlling mother. Gradually this changes, as the divorce of her parents forces her to reassess the role he had to play in the break-up. It culminates in her walking in on her dad having sex with the next door neighbour. Knowing her father is cheat must be bad enough, but witnessing it first hand is even worse! It's a wonder Sally has any faith left in men at all - perhaps she doesn't. Surprisingly, the father and daughter relationship wasn't broken beyond repair - in the season and a half since, the two have grown closer if anything. Despite this, there's always a tension due to the bad memories between the two of them bubbling away under the surface. In a recent episode, Sally pulled up her dad for flirting with her friends, calling him and her mother 'disgusting'. It seems she's set on not making the same mistakes, so maybe this acted as a form of education in the end. A lesson learned the hard way though.
