The relationship between Don and his daughter may well be the most central to Mad Men, even if its one we only see on an occasional basis. As bad TV fathers go, Don Draper probably sits just above Walter White and Tywin Lannister, while Sally has shown - unsurprisingly - a fair amount of teenage rebellion. In fairness, given all shes witnessed, its a credit to her she hasn't suffered some sort of Lindsay Lohan level breakdown... yet. If Don is to avoid the same grisly end as his two fellow not-so-doting dads mentioned above, and Sally is to avoid being emotionally scarred for the rest of her life, a complete reconciliation of the two may be needed. Its perhaps what Don needs more than anything in order to find peace, and if the final scene of the show were to focus on these two characters then I dont think many would complain. NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
