The changing roles of, and attitudes towards, women has been one of the defining themes of Mad Men over the past seven seasons. Weve seen Peggy go from secretary to a key ad-woman, and Joan go from running the office to running the whole damn company. It would therefore be continuing with the trend if it ended with these two breaking out together to form their own company. Joan has the money, Peggy has the creative talent, and they both have the ambition and know-how. Whether the two could survive in a business together is uncertain, but itd be great to see them in positions of power and usurping the men who have previously been in control.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
