The Roger and Marie relationship could go either way, as both are unpredictable eccentrics who struggle with the concept of fidelity. Ultimately though that's probably why it'll work out for them. While Roger's previous mistresses were innocent to his womanizing - perhaps not Joan but as we later found out, relationships aren't really her thing anyway - it'd be hard to fool Marie. In the short time they've been an item they've already had half a dozen fall-outs, but each time they've been drawn magnetically back together. Roger's learning French so it must be serious. One person who certainly won't be holding them back is Don. Even though he is Marie's ex-son-in-law, you feel he's over the Megan thing at this stage. After Roger admitted the relationship to Don, he seemed more baffled than angry. In the final episode Roger and Marie got married, and while his previous attempts all went south pretty quickly, the sense is this one's here to stay.
