While we already knew that there'd be a connection to the other shows in the form of Claire Temple, a more surprising connective element is the presence of Madame Gao. A major - if shadowy - figure from Daredevil's first season, who briefly returned in Season 2 as well.

A powerful woman, she runs a big heroin trade in New York, but there are also hints she's much more than just the head of a drug enterprise. She seems to have a connection to the mystical world, which is where she's likely to come into Iron Fist - perhaps she even comes from K'un-Lun herself. There's even a possibility she's the Crane Mother, the ruler of K'un-Lun from the comics who, at one point, tries to kill both Wendall and Danny Rand.
