Marvel's Luke Cage: 10 Things That Must Happen In Season 2
8. Diamondback And Luke Cage's Relationship Getting Explored Further
I think if there was anything Luke Cage could have done better, it would've been to flesh out Luke and Stryker's relationship just that little bit more. What was there was fantastic, but, you know, there just could've been more of it to go around.
Which is why it's so fantastic Diamondback didn't cop it at the end of Cage's first season, since not only was he a great onscreen presence, the backstory and history shared between him and Luke is simply begging for more exploration. If anything, a non-linear narrative that drew greater attention to the pair's childhood years together would put a fantastic and unexpected twist on a second season of Cage, helping to alleviate the mid-season lull so many Netflix shows tend to get bogged down in after their stellar openings.
Plus, there's always a chance he could bust out of prison and start wrecking things up in Harlem. Rematch, anyone?
