Marvel's The Defenders: 10 Ways It Sets Up The Next Phase

That's not all that The Defenders sets up for Misty Knight. It also looks like she might be forming a partnership with another kickass woman in the near future. Specifically, most likely when Simone Missick reprises her role as Misty in Iron Fist season two.

In the comics, Misty Knight gives up her career as a cop and becomes a kung-fu fighting private detective. Together with Colleen Wing, the pair becomes the so-called Daughters of the Dragon. In this series, Misty and Colleen seem to have found a pretty solid common ground, as the latter is seen visiting Misty in her hospital room.

Besides, while Misty is still a cop by the end of The Defenders, there are hints that she might not be able to hold onto the job for long. Her superior officer is already furious with her for siding with the vigilantes so her days on the NYPD could be numbered. Which leaves the door open for her to go into P.I. work.
