13. There Is Goodness In You

There are a couple of Star Wars nods in the exchange between Matt and Elektra when he realises that she has been turned to the Dark Side but refuses to give up on her. He tells her that "there is goodness in you I know I've felt it."

If it sounded familiar, it's because it echoes Luke Skywalker's comment about Darth Vader - "There is still good in him" - in conversation with Obi-Wan Kenobi. That line is also repeated by Leia Organa in The Force Awakens when she tells Han that there is still light in Kylo Ren.

In all cases, a hero seeks to redeem a villain turned to the dark side with fatal results for almost all of the characters involved (albeit only temporarily for Daredevil).
