12. Foggy Nelson

Matt's best bud Foggy has the honour of marking the first crossover of The Defenders, as he turns up to welcome Luke Cage out of prison. Much like Karen, Foggy has settled into a different role from when he last saw him, as he is now a fancy lawyer with Jeri Hogarth's firm. Apparently they have super-duper legal skills which allow them to clear their clients of anything (even terrorism, somehow).

Still, as outlandish as his role may be, Foggy has a much more organic role to play in the show than most of the supporting characters, as he now has either legal or personal ties to most of The Defenders.
