8. It's Visually Better Than Ever Before

Daredevil has boasted a great sense of its self-identity and style ever since it launched, and has typically looked impressive (if, at times, falling into the trap of being a little too dark).

You never feel like things are too dark, even when Matt is back stalking around in his black costume, and the colour palette leans even heavier on the red than ever before, which only serves to add to the intensity of certain scenes.

They play around with a few neat tricks as well, including a flashback sequence that takes place in black and white, giving it a sense of being slightly removed from everything else, and they also have a great way of visually representing what's going on inside Matt's head in a few of the episodes too, showing the psychological toll his battles have taken on him.

There's also much more Christian iconography present this time around (example: that great shot of Matt with the cross above) which helps visually showcase some of the season's biggest themes around Matt's faith, and give the show more of its own unique identity compared to the rest of the Netflix Marvel Universe.
