Marvel's Daredevil Season 3: 10 Things That Must Happen

2. It Goes Darker Than Ever Before

Netflix's Marvel shows have all been pretty dark, especially the first seasons of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and The Punisher. Grim, gory, and violent, they go to places and deal with themes other superhero shows (and movies) can't or won't.

Daredevil Season 3, however, should be the darkest yet. We've had a glimpse of that in the teaser, with Matt saying "Darkness only responds to darkness."

Born Again isn't just about battling Daredevil, but Wilson Fisk tearing apart Matt Murdock's life in every way imaginable. It needs to be prepared to push the boundaries and be darker than before, taking Matt to his lowest ebb.

Charlie Cox has already done some excellent work on the show, but here he needs to really sell the toll this takes on his physical, mental, and emotional state as he spirals downwards. It might well be painful at times, but it'll make it all the more worthwhile when things eventually turn.
