It's been a tough time for Marvel-Netflix fans of late, what with the cancellation of both Iron Fist and Luke Cage, but at least we've had Daredevil season 3 to lift our spirits. It's widely agreed that it's one of the best seasons of this corner of the MCU we've had to date. Part of that is to do with its surprisingly tight, well-paced storyline, but it's also due to how character-led the season is.
As is obvious from the retro choice of costume for its hero, Season 3 goes back to the stylings of Season 1 which means we get not only a lot of focus on Matt Murdock and his friends Foggy Nelson and Karen Page but also their eternal nemesis Wilson Fisk, as he gets himself out of jail and resumes his quest to take over Hell's Kitchen. We also have some new additions, too - like Special Agent Ray Nadeem and Sister Maggie.
The majority of the ensemble work very well, though as ever there are a couple that don't have the impact they should. There's only one character who can top the list, though, but you'll have to keep reading to find out who that is.
