Picking things up with those poor folk hooked up to the tubes and - seemingly - giving their blood to the Hand against their will, we find them in Metro-General and under the care of the one member of medical staff we care about, Claire Temple. 

While it's clear they've been through a horrid ordeal, it gets even worse when she takes a closer look at them, as it's discovered that they don't have any fingerprints, with the tips being burnt off. Uh...erm...yeah, what?!
