Marvel's Iron Fist: 30 WTF Moments In Netflix's First Failure
17. Rand Security
There are clearly two settings for the security who guard Rand Enterprises: they're either completely over-zealous - as they are when they go straight to 11 to deal with Danny in the first episode thinking he's just a hobo - or they're absolutely the worst at their jobs possible. Like about a minute after that when they're comically beaten to smithereens by the same harmless hobo.
Throughout the show, they show an ability to guard Rand that is rivalled only by Danny's ability to guard K'Un-Lun. They're from the same school of henchmanship as The Hand, in fact -absolutely pointless for everything bar being punched in the head.
As a case in point, when Harold gets into Lawrence Wilkins' office and kills him, how is it that a renowned dead man is able to just walk into the building unnoticed at a time when the board has just fired its three most notable members. Wouldn't security by tighter? And then there's the three idiots who all abandon their post to investigate the hotdog stall fire, leaving the whole place open.
And come to think of it, who exactly accepted that Wilkins' death was suicide? In what world do people who take their own life shoot themselves in the forehead from across the room?
