Marvel's The Punisher: 31 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See

When Billy Russo turns up, it's pretty obvious for fans of the comics where he's headed, but the show takes its time about it. In the comics, he was a hitman known as The Beaut - a nickname that is revived in the Kandahar flashback on the show - who was disfigured by Frank and ended up with a patchwork face - hence his Jigsaw nickname.
The show reimagines him as a friend of Frank's who turns into a war profiteer but also ends up with the same messed up face courtesy of Frank by the final episode.
As another little Egg, at one point, Curtis refers to Billy Russo as a “man of wealth and taste,” referencing The Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil."
