Marvel's The Punisher Season 2: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

Curtis definitely made in impact in season 1, appearing in a chunk of episodes, but the fact that Frank had other important people in his life - Micro, Sarah Lieberman ETC - meant that Curtis was a supporting player at most. In season 2, however, Curtis' role as Frank's only remaining friend from his army days is explored to its fullest.

Seeing as practically everyone Frank knew from the military ended up betraying him, the fact that he still has Curtis as his brother in arms really humanizes him. From Curtis' point of view, it's also interesting to have someone who sides with Frank more from a duty of friendship than a dedicated belief in what he's doing.

In fact, you spend much of the time in season 2 screaming for Curtis to get out of there and go back to his girlfriend. It's tough watching Curtis muddy his own personal code - e.g. killing one of Russo's goons - just to help Frank out. The finale suggests that Curtis is done with his pal but you know that he's going to get dragged back into the Punisher's world at some stage as Curtis is just too good a friend.
