McG To Direct WONDER WOMAN T.V. Pilot At NBC

I guess on paper you can see why NBC would be interested in McG to direct the Wonder Woman pilot they last week commissioned from David E. Kelley's pitch that was initially turned down earlier in the month, only for the network to later purchase and coincide it was a good idea all along. You have to remember McG was the guy who made something out of the problematic and long dormant Charlie's Angels franchise, turning it into a profitable film series and he has four successful shows to his name (Chuck, Supernatural, Nikita & Human Target). Yes, he may very well have dropped the ball with Terminator Salvation but he's a decent action hand and you have to remember with a pilot it's mostly the writing, the longevity of the concept and the casting that will secure a full series deal. TV Line say it's all but a done deal, McG is odds-on favourite to helm. In all honesty we weren't expecting much from this show anyway, said to be a contemporary setting which will find Diana Prince in L.A. living the duel life as a superhero and a corporate executive. Yikes!
