MCU What If...? - 10 Biggest Takeaways From Episode 5

6. A Clash Of The Titans

What If Zombie Cap
Marvel Studios

Thor likes to think that he is the strongest Avenger, and while that may have been true once, his powers have simply been surpassed over the last few years. Wanda Maximoff, particularly since her evolution into the Scarlet Witch, has powers and magical abilities that few others could match.

Posing a very different kind of strength, and someone who could be a genuine contender himself for the strongest Avenger, at least physically, is the Hulk. He may not have any magical abilities, or any Infinity Stone fuelled powers, but in terms of raw strength, he is up there at the top of the list.

Though the Hulk wanted no part of the fight against the Black Order, he showed his muscular green face when Banner needed him to, something denied him in the original Infinity War story, as he ran straight into a hoard of zombies. This also brought him toe to toe with a zombified Wanda.

This was a battle that brought together two completely different MCU heavyweights, both incredibly powerful in their own rights. While this was an amazing spectacle, much of it was left to the imagination of the fans, and it is a shame that more of the episode couldn’t have been carved out for it.
