When Moon Knight requires information surrounding an incoming threat to the public, he often heads out into the night streets as cab driver Jake Lockney. After eavesdropping for the night or during a bump in the current investigation, he would often commune at Gena’s diner along with associates for information, security, and flapjacks to die for.

Gena Landers owns a diner along with her two sons, Ricky and Ray Landers. The diner becomes a place Marc often communes with other allies such as Frenchie and Crawley. Due to its importance, Marc designates the diner as a moral reminder of who he should be fighting for as Moon Knight instead of solely depending on Khonshu's word.

Gena has also been thrown into Moon Knight’s supernatural escapades as a hostage or victim (most notably in Lemire and Smallwood’s Moon Knight run). Siding with Marc brings a threatening tension into Gena's life, nevertheless, this senior doesn’t let anything get the best of her.

Alongside Steven's mental exploration into his other identities, could Jake Lockney's account possibly allude to some memories revolving around this sanctuary in the show?
