Mr. Robot: 21 WTF Moments That Left Fans Stunned

A character who is unique as Elliot needs a proper introduction. One that's memorable and sets the stage for who he is as a person, or depending on how you look at it, how he thinks of himself as a person. Which is why his meeting with Ron's Coffee owner, Rohit, was the best way to introduce him to the audience.

While Rohit is initially quite standoffish, his demeanour quickly changes when Elliot tells him that he's aware of his child pornography website. It's brilliant watching Rohit's face slowly, but surely realise that his world is crumbling before him. Although it's a dark moment, it's hilarious watching him refuse to give Elliot money, then as soon as he realises that Elliot has already alerted the police to what he's been up to, he quickly offers him whatever he wants.

It was a simple, yet perfect way to show the audience what Elliot is all about. There were no big explosions or violence needed. All that was required was a simple setting, two really good actors and a moment of hacking badassery and people were sold on Elliot Alderson and the idea of him as an anti-hero.
