Binge Ranking: 10

Stranger Things did have some hype and strong reviews ahead if its release, but it was the weeks following release where it became a true phenomenon. With the second season about to drop, it's likely to move even higher up the binge-racing list.

It's not difficult to see why the show was such a hit: it arrived at the perfect time, and was a fun, easy binge - with just eight episodes and an engaging mystery to invest in.

More than that, though, it had a serious nostalgia factor, creating an Amblin-tinged Stephen King story with a John Carpenter soundtrack to boot. Add in the ridiculously charming kids, some great adult performances, an emotional thread, and a few spooks too and you've got one of the best Netflix Originals yet - and Season 2 is even better!
