Netflix's Sex Education: 10 Things That Must Happen In Season 2
6. Adam Stands Up To His Father
Adam lives with an abusive parent who he can’t even escape whilst at school due to his father being the headmaster. His upbringing has impacted how Adam handles a variety of situations.
He’s had to suffer abuse during his formative years and has gone onto adopt this toxic behaviour because it’s all he knows. Adam was never taught a healthy way to show affection and be intimate, which has resulted in him bullying people like Eric.
Season 2 needs to see Adam finally take a stand against his father. It would be great to see Adam recognise what he hates about his dad in himself and consciously try to change and apologise to those he’s hurt – especially Eric as their relationship develops, otherwise it’s probably doomed from the start.
